In practical terms, this involves \n<ul>\n \t<li>Implementation of activities to restore degraded land: mechanized recovery combined with grass seeding and construction of water and soil conservation\/soil defense and restoration (CES\/DRS) structures such as Za\u00ef, stone barriers, manure pits, half moons, etc;<\/li>\n \t<li>Land degradation prevention activities: CES\/DRS, assisted natural regeneration, agroforestry, production and use of bio-inputs;<\/li>\n \t<li>Promotion of inclusive and sustainable value chains for non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and non-NTFPs;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe implementation of these initiatives is accompanied by various approaches: HIMO, watershed, community involvement, school fields, etc.\n\nTo date, a number of individual producers and members of various farmers' and socio-professional organizations in Solidar Suisse Burkina Faso's intervention zones have benefited from support in promoting agroecology. The most remarkable example is that of a cooperative society in the Plateau-Central region, which produces and sells enriched compost following training provided by Solidar Suisse.
