On June 16, 2022, a ceremony was held in the commune of Loumbila to hand over cattle (to 55 livestock breeders) and installation kits (to 50 cash crop producers and 20 young people trained in vocational trades).<\/p>\n\n

Organized by the Manegdbzanga Association, this ceremony is part of the implementation of two projects financed by Solidar Suisse in the Central Plateau region: “le projet de renforcement des moyens d’existence des populations vuln\u00e9rables (PROREMO-PV)” (project to strengthen the livelihoods of vulnerable populations)<\/strong><\/span> and the “Projet de promotion de l’acc\u00e8s des jeunes \u00e0 la formation professionnelle et \u00e0 des revenus d\u00e9cents (PRAJERED-FP)”,<\/span><\/strong> for the period 2021-2024.<\/p>\n\n

As a reminder, at the end of the first phase (2017-2020), with the aim of sustaining activities, theManegdbzanga Association<\/span><\/strong> and Solidar Switzerland<\/strong> <\/span>have set up a development approach called: Initiative de Financement Intercommunautaire (IFIC). Under this approach, the beneficiaries of livestock activities contribute in kind (animals) or in cash to finance the activities of new beneficiaries. On the occasion of this fourth (4th)<\/sup> edition of the livestock kit handover, 55 new beneficiaries received 104 animals from former beneficiaries of the year 2020, worth an estimated 4,680,000 FCFA. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, a sum of 24,093,950 FCFA<\/span><\/strong>the project provided livestock equipment (troughs, feeders, wheelbarrows, shovels, forks, axle picks, etc.), 210 animals, 390 bags of SPAI feed and pharmaceutical products. The technical capacities of 130 beneficiaries of the 2022 breeding program were also strengthened. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, 50 cash crop producers (bissap, okra, sesame) benefited from capacity building and production kits comprising (seeds, wheelbarrows, sprayers, pairs of gloves, shovels, forks, tarpaulins etc.), estimated at 6,486,25O FCFA.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n

In the area of short-term vocational training, twenty (20) young people (including 9 women and 11 men) trained in the trades of weaving-dyeing, hairdressing-aesthetics, building electricity and solar energy and sheep fattening received installation kits. In addition, these 20 young people benefited from training in financial education and personal development, along with nine (09) other qualified young people. The cost of this support is estimated at 12,116,940 FCFA.<\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

On this occasion, unable to attend due to a busy schedule, Solidar Suisse’s Country Representative, in a speech delivered by Communication Manager Ms YOUGBARE\/NABALOUM S\u00e9batou Fatima: “invited the new beneficiaries to follow the example of their 2020 peers, so as not to break the chain and enable other groups to benefit from support to improve their livelihoods and gain access to decent employment”.<\/p>\n\n
