20 young people from the province of Kourw\u00e9ogo receive installation kits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

On December 07, 2022, a ceremony was held in the town of Bouss\u00e9 to hand over installation kits to 20 young beneficiaries of the “Promotion de l’acc\u00e8s des jeunes \u00e0 la formation professionnelle et \u00e0 des revenus d\u00e9cents (PRAJERED FP)” project. The ceremony comes at the end of a year’s short-term training in men’s hairdressing, washing and vulcanizing. <\/p>\n\n

In addition, to encourage the creation of viable, sustainable businesses, learners have also benefited from further training in entrepreneurship, financial education, personal development and life skills.<\/p>\n\n

The PRAJERED FP project is being implemented in the Plateau Central region, in the provinces of Kourw\u00e9ogo, Ganzourgou and Oubritenga. In the province of Kourw\u00e9ogo, the project is implemented by the Association Tind Yalgre de Bouss\u00e9-ATY (ATY). <\/p>\n\n

The 20 learners at the end of their training in the vulcanizing and men’s hairdressing trades<\/em><\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

Financed by Solidar Suisse Burkina to the tune of 541,734,780 FCFA, this project aims to facilitate the socio-professional integration of vulnerable young people through access to quality vocational training and the development of their entrepreneurial initiatives, for the period 2021-2024. Specifically, it involves: <\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • enable 159 young people excluded from the education system to complete their schooling in literacy centers intensive training of 9-15 year olds for development ;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
      \n
    • improve the employability of 77 young people through access to vocational training;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
        \n
      • promote better access to decent incomes for young people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

        For 2022, the amount allocated to vocational training in the province of Kourw\u00e9ogo is estimated at 18,998,038 FCFA: of which 7,566,788 FCFA for training and 11,431250 FCFA for installation kits.<\/p>\n\n

        The official handover ceremony was presided over by the High Commissioner of Kourw\u00e9ogo province, represented by Mrs Awa OUEDRAOGO, Secretary General of the province. She took the opportunity to thank Solidar Suisse and the ATY Association for their partnership, which is helping to combat youth unemployment in the province. <\/p>\n\n

        Mr. Oumarou SAWADOGO, Vocational Training Project Manager at Solidar Suisse Burkina, invited the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment they had received to help them grow and contribute to the socio-economic development of the province and the country as a whole.<\/p>\n\n
