On April 13 and 14, 2023, the first quarterly meeting of the year was held in the town of Kaya for the players in the “Promotion de l’acc\u00e8s des filles \u00e0 un Syst\u00e8me Educatif et de Formation Professionnelle de qualit\u00e9 (PROMESSE-FP)” project (the Solidar Suisse- Educo – Aflatoun international consortium and its local partners ARFA, Tin-Tua, OCADES Ouahigouya, OCADES Kaya, CCEB, APIJ-CN, Tabital Lobal, CRUS, UFC Dori). <\/p>\n\n

Parfait COMPAORE, VSLA referent for the NGO Educo, presented the VLSA (Village Savings and Credit Association) approach implemented by the PROMESSE-FP project.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Gathered around the same table, Consortium members and local partners reviewed the level of implementation of activities, discussed prospects, assessed the security situation in the intervention zones and formulated a number of recommendations for the continuation of activities. The meeting was also used to reinforce partners’ knowledge of the VSLA (village savings and credit association) approach piloted by the NGO Educo. <\/p>\n\n

As a reminder, this meeting is part of the technical coordination and monitoring of the project’s implementation in the various intervention zones. Despite the difficult security situation, an analysis of the indicators as at December 31, 2022 shows a target attainment rate of 27.06%. In his speech, Mr. Dieudonn\u00e9 ZAONGO, Country Representative of Solidar Suisse, consortium leader, congratulated the various players for their commitment and resilience in implementing project activities in an unfavorable security context. He also invited the participants to adopt the recommendations put forward to ensure the success of the consortium’s missions. <\/p>\n\n
