From April 29 to May 1, 2024, a training session on biofertilizer and biopesticide production techniques (bokashi, kogle-zanga, Appichi,…) was held in Roumtenga for community facilitators from the Projet de promotion des pratiques agro\u00e9cologiques et de valorisation des productions agricoles (Rilgr\u00e9).<\/p>\n\n

Led by the Beo-Neer\u00e9 Agroecology Association at its farm school, this training will ultimately help to build the technical capacity of community facilitators to support the project’s community structures, in particular the CoRi (Rilgr\u00e9 agroecological practice communities), in raising awareness and providing support and advice to project beneficiaries in adopting agroecological practices. Made up of 200 members per commune, the CoRi bring together producers’ organizations, women who own land known as “beolga”, socio-professional organizations of young men and women, IDPs and people living with disabilities, who share common concerns about land degradation, for which agroecology is a solution. <\/p>\n\n

The Rilgr\u00e9 project is being implemented by the Solidar Suisse consortium and the Association Beo-Neer\u00e9 Agro\u00e9cologie (ABNA), with the overall aim of improving the integrated management of natural resources and sustainably restoring natural ecosystems in the Sahel, in order to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable populations in the face of climate change. It covers 13 communes in the Plateau-Central, Centre-Nord and Centre-Est regions. <\/p>\n\n
