It’s a tradition every year. Solidar Suisse Burkina Faso organizes an exchange meeting with its local partners for the implementation of certain project activities. These structures receive funding from headquarters, a framework loan, to carry out activities in the field. For 2023, the meeting took place on Tuesday November 05 at Solidar Suisse headquarters in Ouagadougou, and focused on monitoring activities.

Partners follow presentations and discussions attentively

Monitoring activities enables us to make informed decisions to improve our actions in the field. That’s why, this year, Solidar Suisse addressed this issue at a meeting with its partners. Associations Tind Yalgré (ATY) from Boussé, Manegdbzanga (AM) from Loumbila and Beogo Neeré (ABN) from Zorgho took turns to present their field monitoring tools and practices in order to gather participants’ opinions and suggestions for improving future beneficiary monitoring actions in their areas of intervention.

Each partner presented its monitoring mechanism

The presentation of partner monitoring mechanisms focused on vocational training, water and soil conservation, and market gardening. Discussions also focused on the role of each player in the activity monitoring chain.

The Country Representative of Solidar Suisse, Dieudonné ZAONGO, congratulated the partners, inviting them to continue improving the quality of activity monitoring.

In the run-up to 2024, Solidar Suisse and its partners have committed to adopting new mechanisms for monitoring activities, in a constant quest for performance. These monitoring tools are intended to be more practical and innovative.

The heads of partner associations were present at this important meeting.
