Reforestation Contract: Improving the survival rate of seedlings by empowering growers

The main aim of the reforestation-by-contract approach is to encourage greater community involvement in order to improve the survival rate of seedlings. To offset the poor results of reforestation operations, the RESICOM project in the Bankui, Sourou and Yaadga regions has adopted this innovative approach to improve seedling survival rates. Strengthening the community resilience of agroforestry households in the Bankui, Sourou (formerly Boucle du Mouhoun), Yaadga (formerly Nord) and Koulsé (formerly Centre-Nord) regions.
