On Friday, November 20, 2015, Solidar Suisse in Burkina Faso organized a day of dialogue on Fair Play during election periods at the Manegdzanga Association training center in Loumbila. The aim of this meeting was to discuss the upcoming elections in Burina Faso.
The presidential and legislative elections in Burina Faso will be held on Sunday November 29, 2015. These elections offer citizens the opportunity to choose political representatives who will best defend their interests.
Civil Society Organizations play an essential role in the promotion of human rights and democracy, and their presence is therefore crucial to the smooth running of the elections.
The aim of this day of dialogue is to strengthen the capacities of CSOs to better monitor the electoral process in its final phase, and above all to equip them with relay facilitators for the full participation of the population.

Participants said they had retained some very important messages from the discussions. For Benjamin Ouédraogo of the TOYINGA AFRIQUE Association, the training will equip him to positively influence the players on the ground, with a view to achieving peaceful elections in Burina Faso. Madame Zongo/Ilboudo Blandine says she has learned that candidates should be chosen on the basis of their program, not their personality. She goes on to say that she will pass on this information to her community, with a view to participating in peaceful elections in the land of men of integrity.
