Contribute to improving the democratic culture and citizen participation of local elected officials, CSOs and the population of the Central Plateau for sustainable local development.

  • Local civil society organizations present in the Central Plateau region, particularly in the 8 intervention communes.
  • local radio stations in the region (Radio Dounia in Boussé, Radio Bassi and Radio Vénégré in Ziniaré, Radio Unité in Boudry, Radio1 Laafi in Zorgho);
  • The regional council of the central plateau and the municipal councils of Boussé, Ziniaré, Zorgho, Boudry, Méguet, Toéghin, Dapelogo, Loumbila
  • The 696,372 inhabitants of the Central Plateau region

  • Improved perception of roles between TCs and CSOs
  • Improving local democracy and citizen participation
  • Improving local governance: accountability, CSO involvement in CM sessions, communication, dialogue, consultation, etc.
  • Improving public service;
  • 80 associations taking part in the various activities initiated by local authorities;
  • 32 decisions (deliberations, local development policies, public investments, etc.) to which citizens adhere;
  • 60% of people satisfied with the quality of information provided to citizens on the management of public assets at the end of 4 years.
