Burkina Faso has been facing a security crisis since 2015 due to attacks by armed groups that are rampant in several regions. This security crisis is having an impact on the local population: around 10% of the population is internally displaced. It has also led to disruptions in Burkina Faso’s education system. As a result, there are major obstacles to accessing and maintaining schools for internally displaced pupils, as well as pupils from host communities, due to the vulnerability of households. In addition, teachers are poorly prepared to face the challenges of education in crisis situations.
To this situation, Solidar Suisse intends to contribute to the response through the implementation of the project “𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗹’𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲̀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗳, 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗮̀ 𝗹’𝗲́𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲́𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿 𝗹𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲́𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 (𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝘂 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗵𝗲𝘂𝗿)” in the Centre Nord region. It specifically aims to:

With a view to ensuring better quality of activities in the field, the project implementation team and focal points from the North Central Regional Directorates of the Ministries of Youth and Employment, Post-Primary and Secondary Education and Humanitarian Action, were equipped from July 15 to 19, 2024 in Kaya on conflict-sensitive project management, child protection and security. During these 05 days, participants were reinforced in 𝗹’𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲 (𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝘁), 𝗹’𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝘁, 𝗹𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗹’𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗲́𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲́ 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲́𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀.
As a reminder, the project “𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗹’𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲̀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗳, 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗮̀ 𝗹’𝗲́𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲́𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿 𝗹𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲́𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 (𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝘂 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗵𝗲𝘂𝗿) “, is being implemented in the Centre-Nord region, Sanmatenga province, and covers the period from April 2024 to September 2026.
