“My name is OUEDRAOGO Philomène, and I’m delighted to be able to read in French and in Mooré, my mother tongue
. In class, I’m learning to speak French, and the teacher’s explanations in Mooré
help me understand the lessons. In the second term (school year 2022-2023) I had an average grade of 09.46/10.”

As OUEDRAOGO Philomènemany pupils in several regions of Burkina Faso (Centre-Nord, Centre-Ouest, Hauts-Bassins, Sud-Ouest, etc.) are seeing their school results improve thanks to the bi-plurilingual education promoted by Solidar Suisse in partnership with the Secrétariat national de l’éducation catholique (SNEC) and the Ministère de l’Education nationale, de l’Alphabétisation et de la Promotion des Langues Nationales (MENAPLN).
