On April 20, 2022, the third quarterly monitoring meeting of the “Strengthening community resilience of agroforestry households in the Boucle du Mouhoun and Nord regions (RESICOM)” project was held in the town of Koudougou. The meeting was attended by representatives of the consortium Solidar Suisse-SOS Sahel International Burkina Faso as well as local partners: Catholic Organization for Development and Solidarity – Dédougou (OCADES-Dédougou) and the Fédération des Professionnels Agricoles du Burkina – Yatenga(FEPAB).
Around the same table, participants took stock of the recommendations made at the last meeting, presented the achievements of the first quarter of 2022 and drew up a roadmap for the implementation of activities in the2nd quarter of 2022. At the end of the discussions, it was noted that activities were progressing well, despite the difficult security context. With this in mind, to facilitate the taking of appropriate measures for the continuation of activities, an inventory of the security situation in the project’s intervention zones was drawn up. In addition, to better capitalize on and promote the project’s activities, the members of the technical team intend to strengthen their capacities for effective monitoring and evaluation.
As a reminder, the RESICOM project aims to contribute to the sustainable strengthening of the resilience of agroforestry households, including that of IDPs, affected by the security crisis and climate change in the North and Boucle du Mouhoun regions. It is funded by theEmbassy of Denmark in Burkina Faso for the period 2021-2025.
