Agroecology for sustainable land management: the Malgzindo cooperative in Salogo takes the lead

In the Plateau Central region (Ganzourgou province), Solidar Suisse, in partnership with the Association Béogo-Neere, is implementing the project “Strengthening agricultural entrepreneurship among producers in the village of Salogo”. The producers of the village of Salogo, united in a cooperative, are improving their living conditions in a sustainable way, while at the same time improving their environment. This is the main objective of the project planned for the period 2021-2024. After two years of support and capacity-building in agro-ecological best practices, the producers of the Malgzindo cooperative in Salogo are showing good results in their agro-ecological production.

Strengthening agricultural entrepreneurship among producers in the village of Salogo

🎯 Main objective :
The producers in the village of Salogo, united in a cooperative, are improving their living conditions in a sustainable way, while also improving their environment. In Salogo, people are resilient in the face of poverty thanks to agricultural entrepreneurship.
📅 Implementation Period :
01.01.2021- 31.12.2024
👥 Primary Target Groups :
The direct beneficiaries are one hundred and thirty-six (136) producers, including 101 women (74.26%), all members of the Malgzindo cooperative and residents of Salogo.
📊 Expected Results :
Expected result 1 (R1): Reinforcement of infrastructure and equipment to increase the cooperative's production: market garden production, enriched compost and moringa are increased.
