The producers of the village of Salogo, united in a cooperative, are improving their living conditions in a sustainable way while improving their environment.

Direct beneficiaries: Producers from the MALGZINDO Group (91 producers, including 58 women representing 63.7% of the workforce);
Indirect beneficiaries: The indirect beneficiaries are the 91 original producer households, members of the Groupement, with around 707 people, including 370 women and 337 men (children and adults).

Increased and diversified production and yield: production is diversified and production volumes of market garden crops and enriched compost on the site have increased thanks to improved yields;
Strengthening the cooperative’s professional capacity: The producers’ cooperative is functional, professional and defends its members’ interests at local and national level;
Development of partnerships, contractualization and marketing: The Coopérative des producteurs-trices has consolidated its position and established transparent, long-term contractual relationships with buyers, suppliers and financial partners (Caisse populaire, rural bank);
Sustainable management of natural resources: the population of the village of Salogo has become aware that agroecology and other actions that promote the sustainable management of natural resources have a direct impact on their income and food security.
