Dear readers,
A new year has just come to an end in the conduct of activities under the ” Strengthening Community Resilience of Agro-Sylvopastoral Households (RESICOM)” project implemented in the Boucle du Mouhoun and Nord regions, for the period 2021-2025. The project is funded by the Embassy of Denmark and led by the Solidar Suisse-SOS Sahel International Burkina Faso Consortium in collaboration with local partners the Catholic Organization for Development and Solidarity (OCADES-Dédougou) and the Federation of Agricultural Professionals of Burkina (FEPAB-Yatenga). Its aim is to contribute to the sustainable strengthening of the resilience of agroforestry households, including IDPs, affected by the security crisis and climate change in the North and Boucle du Mouhoun regions.
In a gloomy security context, the Consortium, with the support of its local partners, has recorded a number of achievements in its quest to improve the well-being of vulnerable people in areas affected by the security crisis and the effects of climate change.
Through this issue 01 of “ RESICOM, Journal de la résilience communautaire “, the consortium intends to share with its partners and readers a summary of the various project activities carried out during 2022, as well as some of the results achieved, illustrated by testimonials from beneficiaries. I hope you enjoy reading it!
