On February 11, 2023, a ceremony was held at ARFA’s head office in Fada N’Gourma to hand over equipment kits to 37 young girls and women business promoters. The businesses concerned are tailoring, hairdressing, weaving-dyeing, agri-food processing and seedling production. These endowments are part of the implementation of the “Promotion de l’accès des filles à un système éducatif et de formation professionnelle de qualité et des revenus décents (PROMESSE-FP)” project, and come at the end of a tailor-made advanced training course for the beneficiaries. In addition, they have received training in business management and ICT to further boost their businesses.

Funded by the Dutch Embassy in Burkina Faso, this project aims to improve access for girls and women in the project regions to quality education and vocational training, and to decent incomes.

A total of 4,376,850 FCFA has been raised for this grant. This endowment will undoubtedly improve the technical and economic performance of these companies.
