This grant is part of the “Promotion de l’accès des filles à un système éducatif de formation professionnelle de qualité et des revenus décents (PROMESSE-FP)” project, implemented in the Eastern region in partnership with the Association pour la Recherche et la Formation en Agroécologie (ARFA).

The official handover ceremony took place on March 24, 2023 in Fada. This endowment comes at the end of a short training course held in March 2023 in market gardening and sheep fattening. The amount mobilized for this purpose is approximately 12,000,000 FCFA.

The seven (07) ecological market gardening beneficiaries each received a kit comprising onion, eggplant, tomato and cabbage seeds, a watering can, a hoe, a rake, a pickaxe, 100 m of rope, a wheelbarrow, a daba and 9 x 50 kg bags of compost enriched with horn, bone and hoof powder (COS).

The sheep fattening kit consists of two rams, a 50kg sack of cakes, 10m of rope, 1 metal bucket and two lickstones. This kit was made available to each of the 55 beneficiaries.

ARFA’s General Coordinator and the President of the Conseil Régional de la Jeunesse de l’Est, who were present at the kit handover ceremony, each in turn urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment they received and take good care of the animals. All of which will contribute to the socio-economic development of their community.
