We fight against precarious working conditions and exploitation (modern slavery such as child labor or forced labor), while working for legal, social and labor protection where it is not granted where it should be. Social protection focuses on labor rights, fair and dignified working conditions, living wages, social security and health, as well as the right of assembly and unionization. In Burkina Faso, decent work is promoted by Solidar Suisse through the various projects included in its Economy and Work program. These include
supply beneficiaries with protective equipment (gloves, helmets, boots, etc.) for agricultural development work and infrastructure, soil reclamation techniques, water conservation, etc;
promoting the use of organic fertilizers over chemical fertilizers in agricultural production;
the creation of income-generating activities for vulnerable populations (young people, women, internally displaced persons, etc.);
Strengthening the livelihoods of people in the Oubri (formerly Plateau Central) and Nando (formerly Centre Ouest) regions affected by climatic shocks and the security crisis
