A solidarity granary is a response by local communities to the effects of climate change, which can lead to cereal deficits and food insecurity for small-scale producers.
The solidarity granary operates on the basis of food loans granted to needy people who have expressed a need. Repayment is also made in foodstuffs.
Objectives
Enable poor and vulnerable farming communities to cope with difficult times thanks to the availability of food/seed stocks accessible to everyone.
Strengthen solidarity between producers during lean periods and food crises.

Informing producers about the initiative;
Identification of granary members;
Member training on the solidarity granary;
Election of Attic Management Committee officers;
Training for Attic Management Committee leaders;
Organization of General Meetings to draw up and adopt internal regulations;
Collecting food from granary members;
Provision of food in the form of loans to member and non-member producers (lean season between June and September);
reimbursement (harvest period between November and January)
